A major chemical company needed to shift their culture to one that would allow for sustained innovation by moving from a hierarchical structure to high-performance teams. A “built to last” culture was needed for the merging of six global pharmaceutical conglomerates into Aventis Pharmaceuticals. Idea Connection Systems® created a process roadmap that fostered systemic change and a common culture, guided the defining of the organizations core purpose, core values and “Big Hairy Audacious Goal”. Following the roadmap, Aventis achieved a 27% growth in annual sales, achieved the highest annual growth performance of a N.A. pharmaceutical company. They were rated the best New Jersey employer, recognized as one of the top 100 companies for women by Working Women’s Magazine, and employee satisfaction survey results in 2002 reflected very high employee satisfaction.
