Spirit and Leadership: Building Community Two People at a Time
Presented by: Dash Douglas and Bob Rosenfeld
Green Acre Baha’i School
Retreat & Conference Center
Eliot, Maine
December 1, 2006 - December 3, 2006
The story begins with the journey of one city’s desire to address this country’s most vital and challenging issue—racial polarization. In 2001 Rochester, N.Y. implemented a race relations and trust-developing program called Mosaic partnerships, which continues to develop five years later. The success of this Baha’i-inspired program is garnering increasing interest from cities across the country, including: Greensboro, NC, Milwaukee, WI, Philadelphia, PA, Boston, MA, Norfolk, VA, and from some communities around the world. This presentation will provide a thorough understanding of the Mosaic Program, the spiritual principles on which it is based, and will also include experiential portions designed to better understand the deleterious effects of racial estrangement. The participants will leave with a basic understanding of the trends that have led us to our current conditions of racial polarization and to a potential solution for increasing the unity in our communities.

Understanding the Human Principles for Sustaining Innovation
Monday, November 6 - Thursday, November 9, 2006
An Innovation Series event sponsored by Center for Creative Leadership and Idea Connection Systems, Inc.
Innovation remains one of the most important strategies an organization can use to survive and thrive in the 21st century. However, as many organizations have discovered, making innovation happen is about more than bringing the right business and technology skills together. Innovation is about people and all the human dynamics that create the right “environment” for the innovation process to end in a “quantifiable gain,” however that is defined by the organization.

Making the Invisible Visible - The Human Principles for Sustaining Innovation
October 4, 2006
1:00 – 2:00 pm (ET)
Duration: 1 hour
Anyone who has been in a leadership role for a long period of time knows that coming up with a new innovation can be very difficult. They also know that sustaining innovation over the long haul is a whole order of magnitude harder. Bob Rosenfeld in his new book, Making the Invisible Visible, has isolated the eight principles that are essential for sustaining innovation over time. His book makes the invisible visible! In this Webinar participants will be introduced to all eight principles. In addition, Bob and Gary Wilhelmi will delve more deeply into two of the eight guiding principles to help everyone understand in greater detail what they are, why they matter, and what happens if these principles are ignored.
